HTC launches mid-level Desire 825 smartphone with Hi-Res audio onboard

HTC has just released the mid-level Desire 825 smartphone which has a 5.5-inch display that’s aimed at customers who want a feature-packed device at a more affordable price.

Launched in partnership with JB Hi-Fi, the HTC Desire 825 is graphite grey with a polycarbonate design with a chromatic accent.

Both the power button and speaker grills have a contrasting colour that enhances the product visually.

The 5.5-inch screen has a resolution of 1280 x 720 with 267ppi (pixels per inch) and a 13-megapixel main camera and 5-megapixel front camera.

The front selfie camera can be activated without even touching the Desire 825 thanks to Auto Mode and Voice Mode.

There’s even a Live Makeup mode for your selfies that can provide the skin touch-ups

Another impressive feature is the 24-bit HTC BoomSound Hi-Res audio certification with Dolby.

Audio playback is 256 times more detailed than other smartphones and four times the quality of CDs so you can hear richer clearer music.

Also onboard the device is the HTC Sensor Hub – a feature that turns the Desire 825 into an activity tracker that works with popular fitness apps like Runkeeper, Runtastic, Google Fit and Endomodo.

The HTC Desire 825 is available now from JB Hi-Fi and is priced at $549.
