Ferrari has unveiled the Luce – its first fully electric supercar with its own unique interior and exterior design, 500km range and the ability to go from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.5 seconds.
The Ferrari Luce has been engineered from the ground up and brings together remarkable Ferrari performance and luxury and it’s all powered by the brand’s first EV power source.
The vehicle was designed by former Apple designer Sir Jony Ive along with Mark Newson, his partner at the creative collective Love From.
They came up with a singular design language that unites the exterior, interior, and the interface with an elegant simplicity.
The Ferrari Luce is an all-wheel drive with four doors and a five-seat configuration, making it one of the most spacious Ferraris ever built.
The front and back doors open in the same direction to make it even easier to get in and out of the vehicle.
The Ferrari Luce is 5026mm long, 1999mm wide, and 1544mm tall.
The interior design has been meticulously created into a clean and simple interface that only acts in service of the driving experience.
The new Ferrari EV also has the lowest drag coefficient in the history of the company. This was achieved through remarkable aerostyling, active air shutters and a ride height that lowers the front by 10mm whenever it’s in motion.
The vehicle features dedicated NVH solutions which offer electric car refinement but while still providing the iconic Ferrari road handling.
It also has dynamic management, along with regeneration and torque management, to ensure total and repeatable enjoyment with every drive.
The one amazing thing about a Ferrari is the sound it makes. The Ferrari Luce won’t disappoint.
The car’s sound waves are captured and amplified and delivered through the interior along with visual feedback.
