Epson has launched the EH-LS970B – a new flagship ultra short throw projector which offers three times brighter colours and built-in high-quality Bose audio for a premium home cinema experience.
The projector has a low profile and elegant form factor and can sit just 28 cm from the wall and deliver up to a 150-inch image.
The unit achieves its sharp 4K picture using advanced pixel shifting technology, working in conjunction with three individual high definition LCD chips which maintain outstanding brightness.
The Epson laser optical engine produces white light and colour light at 4,000 lumens, which means viewers can enjoy the bright images at all times of the day.
Also on board is full 10-bit HDR (high dynamic range) colour processing, which can display 100 per cent of the HDR source.
The EH-LS970B has an amazing 5,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio and the result is breathtaking depth and clarity across every scene.
The unit can also produce impressive black levels while still offering richer detail in those darker portions of the screen while bright highlights stay vivid and lifelike.
Dynamic tone mapping can intelligently examine each scene and optimise HDR performance precisely, and adjust brightness, contrast and colour in real time for a more refined result.
Also onboard is advanced AI image processing, which intelligently sharpens fine detail for even clearer images while adjusting brightness and contrast to deliver natural colour and lifelike tones.
The projector has built-in Google Assistant for easy control.
On the audio side there is also room-filling sound enhanced by Bose with a custom designed stereo system that produces a rich, balanced sound with deep bass.
Gamers can also take advantage of this large canvas and play the latest titles on the 150-inch 4K display with HDR and 60Hz refresh rate and an input lag time below 20ms for a truly responsive gaming experience.
There is also a dedicated HDMI port for 1080p 120Hz.
The Epson EH-LS970B is available now and it’s priced at $6,399.
