The Netgear Nighthawk 5G M7 Portable Wi-Fi 7 Hotspot is an essential item for anyone who needs to stay connected at high speeds anywhere they go travel in the world. And it makes finding and connecting data plans easier than ever before.
Netgear has always been about connectivity whether it’s in your home or out in the world. The latter just got even better with the release of the Nighthawk 5G M7 Portable Wi-Fi 7 Hotspot.
The M7 can keep you and up to 32 devices connected on the move in more than 140 countries around the world.
So whether you’re travelling with your family or working colleagues on the go, the Netgear Nighthawk 5G M7 Portable Wi-Fi 7 Hotspot has got you covered.
On the design side the M7 has stepped away from the traditional square look of its predecessors and is now more rectangular.
It can handle both a physical SIM card and eSIM for the first time.
It has a colour screen – not a touchscreen – that can be navigated with the side button.
But the M7 has a Netgear companion app that can connect your smartphone to the M7 and give you complete control of the device.
Users can also change the name of the wireless network the device creates and set your own password.
Within the app is the other great feature – the Netgear eSIM marketplace so you can purchase an eSIM and connect in seconds anywhere in the world.
So you’ve got the modem and the app becomes the eSIM store. It can’t get any easier.
No need to hunt up a physical SIM card – you can choose an eSIM at the press of a button and begin your connection.
From the Netgear app we were able to choose what region we were in – our choices were Asia & Oceania, Canada, Caribbean Islands and Latin America, Europe, Middle East & Africa and USA.
This is exactly what we did on a recent trip to San Francisco.
We were able to have our own connection at an event that offered wi-fi but that was slow and unconnectable because of the sheer number of people present.
With our own clear and fast connection we were able to access the Tech Guide website to publish our articles and to share them on social media.
In our case we were in the US and we chose 20GB of data on an eSIM that would last for up to 30 days.
And once we made the purchase, the eSIM was installed and activated and we were able to connect to a 5G network.
And from the Netgear app we could now see our active eSIM and how much data we had used along with how many days we had to use it.
The 5G powered M7 can achieve speeds of up to 3.6 Gbps and connect up to 32 devices.
Under the hood is the Qualcomm 5th Generation 5G modem to antenna solution to deliver super high speeds.
It’s also possible to connect directly to the M7 with a USB cable or Ethernet adaptor.
The battery runs for up to 10 hours which is long enough to last a whole day of work.
The Netgear Nighthawk 5G M7 Portable Wi-Fi 7 Hotspot is available now and is priced at $799.
