LG has revealed its latest premium smartphone – the V20 – which includes high-end multimedia capabilities to create top quality video and audio content anywhere.
The LG V20 has a 5.7-inch quad HD IPS Quantum display with resolution of 2560 x 1440 and 513ppi (pixels per inch) and will be running Android’s latest 7.0 Nougat operating system.
It is made of lightweight aluminium alloy so it combines strength and style. It is 159.7mm long, 78.1mm wide and just 7.6mm thick.
The device has two rear cameras – a 16-megapixel lens with f/1.8 aperture and OIS (optical image stabilisation) and an 8-megapixel 135-degree wide-angle lens and f/2.4 aperture.
On the front is a 5-megapixel camera with f/1.9 aperture and 120 wide-angle lens.
Users can shoot 4K video with manual mode to control things like white balance, manual focus and frame rates.
And with Steady Record 2.0 it will also take the shakes out of your videos for smoother recordings using EIS (electronic image stabilisation) which is built in to the onboard Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor.
You can even use digital image stabilisation in post-production.
But there is not only high quality video at your fingertips with the LG V20, but also high quality audio as well.
The device has the same audio formatting used with professional video equipment – 24bit/48kHz linear pulse code modulation (LPCM).
LG has once again teamed up with quality audio brand Bang & Olufsen so your listening experience will be top shelf.
It supports Hi-Fi Quad DAC to provide the sort of quality discerning audiophiles will appreciate.
Users can also record hi-fi audio with three high AOP (acoustic overload point) microphones which capture sound with a wider dynamic frequency.
The LG V20 has dual 3G/4G SIM card slots and a microSD card slot to expand the onboard 64GB memory as well as a removable 3200mAh battery.
The LG V20 will go on sale in Australia on November 8 at JB Hi-Fi stores and will be priced at $1,099.
