Globalgig to sell wi-fi hotspots in Dick Smith stores
Globalgig, the company that can keep your devices connected overseas, has announced a partnership with Dick Smith plus coverage in even more countries.
Travellers can now buy the pocket-sized Globalgig wi-fi hotspot and service in any of the 330 Dick Smith stores around Australia.
The Globalgig connects to the local cellular network on your travels and creates a wi-fi hotspot to link your smartphones, tablets and laptops to the internet.
Globalgig offers 3G mobile data in Australia for $9 per 1GB per month and from $19 per 1GB per month in countries including the US, UK, Austria, Denmark, Hong Kong, Italy, Portugal, Ireland, Spain and Sweden.
Other countries covered by Globalgig’s 20 cents per MB rate where you only pay for the data you use are: Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Latvia, Lichtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, New Zealand, Norway, Netherlands, Poland, Romania, San Moreno, Slovakia, Slovenia Turkey and Vatican City.

Heavy data users also have the option of paying $35 (3GB) or $49 (5GB) a month.

The device is priced at $49 which includes a SIM card and an onboard rechargeable battery.
