Amazon has today confirmed its highly anticipated Prime Day sales event will kick off on July 7 and run through till July 13.
Prime Day brings a range of deals exclusively for Prime members including deals from top brands and popular products.
This year Prime members will also be able to enjoy savings on fresh groceries from Harris Farm Markets, along with products from thousands of Aussie businesses and sellers.
And all will be delivered fast and free.
Last year Prime Day saw discounts across everything from everyday essentials, electronics, home and kitchen and toys.
This year is expected to be no different with thousands of Australian small or medium businesses taking part.
“We’re excited to bring Prime members seven full days of incredible savings across hundreds of thousands of deals, spanning the brands and categories Aussies love most,” says Arno Lenior, Director of Amazon Prime APAC.
“Australians are planning ahead, comparing options more carefully, and Prime Day has become the event they turn to.
“As one of the biggest shopping events of the season, with free and fast delivery, Prime Day is unmissable for shoppers across Australia.”
Research shows Australians are adjusting their budgets and shopping behaviour in response to cost of living pressures with 80 per cent putting off purchases until the major sales periods.
Amazon says rather than reducing the amount they are spending, Australians are allocating their budgets more carefully.
The study showed 77 per cent said they were buying fewer items overall but still looking for quality purchases during key retail sales events.
Australian Prime members can enjoy fast and free delivery on millions of eligible local and international items as well as access to Prime Video, Amazon Music Prime, Prime Reading and Prime Gaming.
Customers can try Prime free for 30 days at www.amazon.com.au/prime.
After the trial Prime is $9.99 a month or $79 a year. Users can cancel at any time.
