Vodafone offering new customers free Spotify Premium music streaming

Vodafone has kicked off a special offer for new and upgrading customers with free premium accounts for Spotify’s popular streaming music service.

Now any customer connecting to a 12 or 24-month Vodafone Red Plan will also receive a Spotify Premium subscription valued at $11.99 per month.

There are more than 20 million tracks to enjoy in the Spotify music library with users able to follow their favourite artists, create their own playlists and also download tracks to play offline.

The length of the free Spotify Premium subscription is determined by the type of Vodafone Red Plan the customer chooses.

On the $70 Red Plan you’ll get Spotify Premium for six months, the $80 Red Plan gets you12 months and with the $100 Red Plan you’ll have 24 months of free music streaming.

And there’s no worry about the amount of data you use with the Vodafone Data Workout which provides unlimited data for the first two months of any 12  or 24-month plan.

“Many of our customers are huge Spotify fans and so are we,” said Stephen Smyth, general manager of postpaid at Vodafone.

“Spotify has been making waves worldwide, transforming the way we access and experience music. We’re delighted to offer our customers an exciting way to experience music.”

The offer is available now for approved new customers with a postpaid plan with a bundled smartphones. SIM only plans are excluded from the offer.

Existing customers who connected to a plan before July 2, 2014can receive a free Spotify Premium account if they change their existing plan to an eligible Red plan.
