Samsung has confirmed it will be holding an Unpacked event in San Francisco on February 25 (early February 26 Australian time) to launch the new Samsung Galaxy S26 range of smartphones.
The event will be held at the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco at 10am local time which will be 5am February 26 (Sydney time).
We can expect to see the latest S26, S26+ and the S26 Ultra.
There is also speculation around whether Samsung will launch the S26 Edge – a follow up to the super thin S25 Edge launched last year.
Our money is on the S26 Edge being part of the line-up.
There has been talk of whether the S26 Edge would take the place of the S26+ model.
Design-wise, the new models may have small plateaus below the camera lenses with the S26 Edge possibly including a wider plateau that looks like the one on the iPhone 17 Pro Max.
And Samsung is now referring to its new device as AI phones – not smartphones.
This leads us to believe there will be an even better version of Galaxy AI onboard along with Google Gemini.
The new line-up is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor which will lay the platform for better multicore on-device AI processing and improved graphics performance.
One new feature will be the Privacy Display which will allow users to block prying eyes from seeing certain apps and documents.
This is a combination of software and hardware that will work at the pixel level to keep your information private.
Other rumours suggest the new S26 line-up will also have faster 60W charging with the S26 Ultra able to reach 75 per cent charge in just 30 minutes.
We also expect Samsung to launch new Galaxy Buds earphones as well.
Pre-order for the new Samsung Galaxy S26 AI phones will commence on February 26 with an on sale date in early March.
Tech Guide will be in San Francisco for the event and will have all the latest updates and hands-on reviews.
