D-Link has released a range of new connected devices designed to optimise our home wi-fi, keep all of our devices safe, allow us to monitor our homes even easier with Google Assistant and connect even faster.
Unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, the new D-Link products include a wi-fi router with McAfee security onboard, the Covr range of tri and dual bank wi-fi systems, new Google Assistant compatible devices and the latest generation of routers with the 802.11ax standard onboard.
D-LINK COVR WHOLE HOME WI-FI SYSTEMS
D-Link has two new Covr whole home wi-fi systems which can connect to your existing modem.
These are powered by the Qualcomm Mesh Networking Platform and can create a high-speed network free of dead spots to keep up with our modern needs and high number of connected devices.
Covr 2202 has a tri-band (two 5Ghz band and one base station and satellite unit and is ideal for larger homes up to 550 square metres.
The Covr C2103 is a dual band system, similar to Google Wi-Fi, that can cope with bandwidth hungry multimedia applications in your home.
Each C2103 unit is small enough to fit in the palm of your and change the colour of the top panel.
Also onboard D-Link’s Covr systems is smart roaming to help users stay connected as they move room to room and MU-MIMO technology to handle a greater number of connections.
D-LINK WI-FI ROUTER POWERED BY McAFEE
Customers can create a fast and secure home network with the D-Link DIR-2680 which features McAfee protection and parental controls.
The system will provide a protective shield for all devices – computers and mobile devices – and will also protect smart connected devices like lights and cameras.
The product will alert users if any of your connected product have weak or no passwords and suggest a strong one.
On the parental control side, the DIR-2680 can also allow the administrator – like Mum or Dad – to restrict what their children can and can’t look at on their devices and set screen time as well.
D-LINK’S GOOGLE ASSISTANT COMPATIBLE PRODUCTS
The latest mydlink products like the DCS-8000LH HD Mini Wi-Fi Camera, the DCS-8100LH HD Wi-Fi Camera and the DSP-W115 Wi-Fi Smart Plug will now work with Google Assistant so you can ask to see live camera views and turn products on and off connected to the smart plug with your voice.
D-LINK’S NEW 802.11AX ROUTERS
D-Link also unveiled the DIR-X6060 and the DIRX9000 – the company’s first routers to use the new wi-fi 802.11AX standard.
The DIR-X6060 is a dual band router with combined speeds of up to 6000Mbps while the tri-band DIR-X9000 will go up to a combined speed of 11,000Mbps.
They have vastly improved coverage over the 802.11ac routers and four times more capacity with a 1.8Ghz quad-core processor.
The new D-Link products will be available in Australia in the coming weeks and months.
