TCL announces pricing and availability of 2021 TV range which include Google TVs
TV manufacturer TCL has announced its first range of 4K and 8K Google TVs with QLED and mini LED technology on board to provide high quality audio, picture and connectivity.
The new line-up includes both 4K and 8K TV’s with new mini LED backlight technology to create outstanding colour, contrast and brightness.
On the audio side, the TV’s come with Dolby Atmos built in to produce an immersive multidimensional soundscape.
“The new range of TCL TVs offers the next generation of gamers the fantastic Game Master experience that is second to none,” says Mark Zhang, Managing Director at TCL Electronics AU/NZ.
“TCL has also become the Official TV Partner of Call of Duty worldwide, demonstrating our ability to bring the best gaming experiences to users all around the world.”
TCL is one of only two manufacturers which will be offering Google TV in 2021 (the other being Sony).
TCL’s Google TV range will be available in the second half of 2021 and will bring together movies and shows from across your apps and subscriptions and organise them for you on an easy to navigate dashboard.
Users will be able to discover new shows to binge with recommendations based on the shows you watch from across your existing subscriptions and streams.
Viewers will also be able to ask Google to find movies and shows as well as answer questions and control smart home devices with their voice.
Mini LED technology increases the number of local dimming stones thanks to thousands of individually precision controlled backlight LEDs.
The result is deeper blacks and enhanced colour reproduction and improved contrast and brightness for a smoother picture.
Quantum Dot technology also utilises light emitting nanocrystals for the precise control of picture elements which results in truer whites and a more vibrant and natural expanded range of colours.
And if you’re into your gaming you’ll be pleased to hear about TCL TV supporting features like Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) which can adjust the TV’s refresh rate to match your input device.
This results in enjoying more complex and detailed graphics with reduced on screen tearing and a more immersive gaming experience.
VRR on the X925 and C825 will be able to connect their consoles or PCs to their TV and take advantage of 4K content at 120Hz.
Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM) also recognises your console and can switch automatically to game mode for reduced input lag to optimise your gameplay.
Also on board is Dolby Vision IQ which can take picture control to new heights.
Light sensors in the TV can measure the ambient light and adjust the screen output for optimal picture quality.
The AiPQ Engine is an audio visual processor at the heart of TCL’s TV’s to drive features and performance.
It can process content in real time and upscale the display and audio.
The TCL C825 and X925 TVs have a built-in subwoofer to provide deep bass.
They are only one of three manufacturers to have received IMAX Enhanced certification.
TCL has also announced three new soundbars to dramatically enhance the audio quality of the TV and improve the overall entertainment experience.
TCL’s 2021 TV range is sold through Appliances Online, JB Hi-Fi, Harvey Norman, Bing Lee, Bi-Rite, Leading Appliances, Betta Electrical, Retravision, The Good Guys and other major retailers.
