Tech Guide took a look through the Hisense booth at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas and the star of the show was no doubt the amazing new 116-inch TriChroma LED TV.
Hisense says this is the only consumer model to use RGB Local Dimming which offers precise colours, excellent contrast and superior brightness.
The backlight of the TV uses RGB (red, green and blue) LEDs which now generate not only the light but also the colours required to make up the picture.
Previously the backlight was made up of mini white and blue LEDs which then needed to go through a Quantum Dot filter to create the colours on the screen.
Now with the RGB Local Dimming (also called TriChroma) the filter is no longer required and now uses less energy.
As a result it can produce 97 per cent of the BT.2020 color space —that’s the widest color gamut produced with a MiniLED display.
And on the audio side, the Hisense 116-inch TriChroma LED TV can deliver 6.2.2 multi-channel surround sound and Dolby Atmos.

The other stars of the Hisense Booth were the C2 Ultra projector and the L9Q Laser TV.
The C2 Ultra 4K projector is a follow-up to the popular C1 projector and is a massive improvement with a swivel stand the ability to tilt up and down.
It also had the auto set up which squares up the image and automatically focusses the image.
The image can go up to 300-inches in size and now includes an optical zoom which means you can achieve a larger image without having to take the projector as far back away from the screen as the previous model.
It also has JBL speakers on board and a subwoofer built into the base so viewers can enjoy a great picture and sound at the same time.
Hisense’s other projector is the L9Q TriChroma Laser TV short throw projector.

This new model has 5000 lumens brightness and, when combined with the included 120-inch ambient light rejection (ALR) screen, you are getting an image that’s so bright you would think you are watching a TV rather than a projected image.
As a result the L9Q, with that added brightness, will be able to be used through the day and night.
