Samsung Galaxy Note 10 smashes pre-sale records
Pre-order sales of the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 smartphone have smashed previous records for the product – and there has been a definite move towards the 5G variant of the Note10+.
Garry McGregor, Vice-President, Mobile Division, Samsung Electronics Australia, says there has been a double-digit increase in pre-orders for the flagship Note 10 device.
And 5G is also very popular
Australia was only the third market in the world where Samsung launched a 5G device after South Korea and the US with the Galaxy S10 5G in June.
Samsung recognises the fact that Australia is a nation of early adopters who are looking for faster and more reliable connectivity.
“More than 50 per cent of our pre-orders are for the 5G variant,” McGregor says.
“And we’re no longer looking for a black smartphone, the new Aura Glow colour is also the most popular.”
The device is also available in Aura Black.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+ were unveiled in New York at the Unpacked event recently and the devices officially go on sale in Australia on Friday August 23.
The local pre-orders have set new record for a Note device which is being offered with the AKG N700 noise cancelling headphones valued at $499.
The Note 10 is available in two screen sizes – 6.3-inch (Note 10) and 6.8-inch (Note 10+).
Samsung will offer 4G LTE for the Note 10 and Note 10+ while the Note 10+ will also be offered in a 5G variant.
The device also includes its trademark S Pen for users to draw and write on the screen.
The S Pen now has an all-new unibody design and a battery that can last for up to 10 hours and can also be used to control the camera and phone like a remote control.
Recently the Note 10+ 5G was rated by DxOMark as having the best front and back cameras on a smartphone.
Pricing and memory variants for the Galaxy Note 10 range in Australia will be:
– Galaxy Note 10 (256GB) $1,499
– Galaxy Note 10+ (256GB) $1,699
– Galaxy Note 10+ 5G (512GB) – $1,999
