Optus now offering 5G to pre-paid customers with new Optus Flex plans
Optus has announced that prepaid Optus Flex customers will now be able to access its 5G network for faster streaming and downloads on its new 5G mobile plans.
Customers can click and connect within the Optus app with a purchasing experience that is changing the pre-paid mobile category.
Customers with a 5G eSIM capable device can join Optus in just a few taps using the My Optus app.
Users then receiving a QR code to activate the service on the device’s eSIM so there would be no need to go in store and purchase a physical SIM card
It’s also possible to set an auto recharge so they never have to remember to top up their account.
The Optus was named as having Australia’s fastest 5G network (according to analysis by Ookla of Speedtest Intelligence data) which can now open a world of possibilities for customers on prepaid plans that offer value and flexibility.
Optus Flex customers can customise their plans to fit their needs including purchasing add-ons including unlimited data days or international talk plans.
They can choose to have a daily, weekly, fortnightly or monthly plan which all now offers access to 5G starting at just $2 a day.
And a customer can automatically rollover up to 200GB of data on an active plan to the next month.
