LG releases new mid-tier Q Stylus smartphone

LG has released the Q Stylus smartphone – a mid-range device that offers an impressive set of features and a stylus so you can write and draw directly on the screen.

The device has a metal frame and a 6.2-inch full high definition FullVision display with an 18:9 screen ratio, thin bezels and curved tempered glass to give it a rounded look.

And with the stylus on board, users are able to switch to handwritten input for the times when writing would be faster and more expressive than typing.

The LG Q Stylus can recognise and record hand written notes even with the display off.

The stylus can also be used to personalise photos and videos and to create animated GIFs.

On the camera side, the device has an 8-megapixel front camera and a 16-megapixel rear camera complete with phase detection autofocus to help you capture your snaps even faster.

It also has portrait mode to create great-looking bokeh effects in your images.

The smart rear key acts not only as a fingerprint reader but also offers an easy to reach selfie camera shutter button.

Another strength of the LG Q Stylus is the on-board audio with the same advanced DTS:X that’s found on the LG G series that offers up to 7.1 channel 3D surround sound when listening through headphones.

Running the Android 8.1 Oreo operating system, the LG Q Stylus has 32GB on-board memory and 3GB RAM and a microSD card slot to add even more storage.

Under the hood is a 1.5GHz octa-core processor and a 3300mAh battery.

It also has an IP68 rating which makes it water and dust resistant.

The LG Q Stylus is available now at Harvey Norman and is priced at $649.
