Huawei has announced its impressive Mate Xs luxury foldable device – a smartphone that folds out to offer an 8-inch tablet-size screen – will be available for pre-order from March 14 and will be priced at $3999.
This will make the Mate Xs the most expensive smartphone ever offered in Australia.
Tech Guide has taken a hands-on look at the device which has a front 6.6-inch display, a rear 6.38-inch display which then folds out to reveal an 8-inch screen.
The 5G smartphone is powered by Huawei’s very own Kirin 990 processor and features a 40-megapixel Leica quad-camera.

The outside of the device is made up of the flexible Aerospace Flex Display which is 80 per cent more durable than a single layer design but without compromising the screen quality and colour saturation.
The Huawei Mate Xs will be available in Interstellar Blue and will be priced at $3,999.
