Samsung expands ecosystem with Galaxy Watch 3, Galaxy Buds Live and Galaxy Tab S7

Samsung has revealed a range of new products in the Galaxy ecosystem at the virtual Unpacked launch event including Galaxy Watch 3, Galaxy Buds Live noise-cancelling earphones and a powerful Tab S7 tablet.

The devices were unveiled alongside Samsung’s powerful Galaxy Note20 and Note20 Ultra.

Samsung’s new range of products are designed to work together seamlessly and create an even more connected experience for customers whether they want to work or play, communicate, connect and live healthier.

GALAXY WATCH 3

Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 has the style and design of a regular time-piece and is made of stainless steel with high quality leather bands.

For the first time there will also be a titanium model which includes the regular features like the rotating bezel so you can move between apps, scroll notifications and change widgets and complications.

SAMSUNG ANNOUNCES NEW AND IMPROVED GALAXY Z FOLD2

Galaxy Watch 3 is 14 per cent thinner than the original Galaxy Watch, 8 per cent smaller and 15 per cent lighter.

Users can also choose from more than 80,000 watch faces in the Galaxy Store or design their own.

The device will be available in two sizes – 41mm and 45mm – with both LTE and Bluetooth variants.

SAMSUNG UNVEILS POWERHOUSE GALAXY NOTE20 AND GALAXY NOTE20 ULTRA SMARTPHONES

There are new health and fitness features aboard the Galaxy Watch 3 to take your health and wellness monitoring to the next level.

In the coming months the device will be able to tell you your blood pressure and offer ECG (electrocardiogram) readings pending regulatory approval.

The watch can also detect if the wearer has taken a fall and then notify emergency services and contacts if no movement is immediately detected after the tumble.

On the fitness side, users will soon be able to access VO2 max readings which offer an insight into oxygen uptake.

The new Samsung Health Monitor app also includes 120 different video workouts which can be cast to your smart TV while Galaxy Watch 3 can track the workout.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 now includes sleep tracking and can provide a score for your sleep and also suggest ways you can achieve better rest.

The 41mm Galaxy Watch 3 is available in Mystic Silver and Mystic Bronze. The 45mm model is available in Mystic Black and Mystic Silver.

They will be priced at $849 (45mm LTE), $799 (41mm LTE), $699 (45mm BT) and $649 (41mm BT).

They are available from August 6.

GALAXY BUDS LIVE

The Galaxy Buds Live noise cancelling earphones don’t look like earphones – they look like beans.

This unique shape means they fit just outside your ear canal unlike regular earphones that fit inside your ear canal.

Components have been arrange horizontally instead of vertically so they also don’t protrude from your ears.

This tip-less design makes them a better fit for your ear and therefore more comfortable to wear even for long periods.

The Galaxy Buds Live utilise AKG audio expertise and include a 12mm speaker and bass duct.

There are three microphones and a voice pickup unit so your voice is loud and clear on the phone.

The active noise cancellation can also tune out distracting ambient sound.

The Galaxy Buds Live can seamlessly pair and switch between compatible devices.

Users can also use Galaxy Buds Live as a microphone when recording videos with the Samsung Galaxy Note.

Galaxy Buds Live will be priced at $319 and are available from August 6.

GALAXY TAB S7 and S7+

The new Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 and S7+ tablets have been built for connectivity, productivity and entertainment.

The Tab S7 has an 11-inch LTPS TFT display while the Tab S7+ has a 12.4-inch Super AMOLED display with both supporting a wide 16:10 aspect ratio picture.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S7+ tablet will also be the first to offer 5G connectivity so you can stay connected anywhere at high speed.

Included is an S Pen which turns the tablet into your personal canvas whether you want to make notes, write down ideas or draw and paint.

The device are running next generation processors which make them a powerful tool for working, productivity and completing tasks on the go.

The addition of the Samsung Book Cover keyboard (which includes a trackpad) can offer a true laptop-like experience.

And with Samsung DeX onboard, users can also enjoy a true computer desktop environment.

Thanks to Samsung’s close partnership with Microsoft, users are able to sync files between the Samsung tablet and Outlook and OneNote.

And when it’s time to relax, the device can turn into your personal home theatre and gaming console with a widescreen display and quad speakers tuned by AKG.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 is priced at $1,149 (6GB RAM 128GB wi-fi), $1,349 (8GB RAM 256GB wi-fi), $1,349 (6GB RAM 128GB 4G) and $1,549 (8GB RAM 256GB 4G).

The Samsung Galaxy S7+ is priced at $1,549 (6GB RAM 128GB wi-fi), $1,749 (8GB RAM 256GB wi-fi), $1,749 (6GB RAM 128GB 4G) and $2,049 (8GB RAM 256GB 5G).

They will be available on September 11.
