Samsung expands ecosystem with Galaxy Watch 3, Galaxy Buds Live and Galaxy Tab S7

Samsung has revealed a range of new products in the Galaxy ecosystem at the virtual Unpacked launch event including Galaxy Watch 3, Galaxy Buds Live noise-cancelling earphones and a powerful Tab S7 tablet.

The devices were unveiled alongside Samsung’s powerful Galaxy Note20 and Note20 Ultra.

Samsung’s new range of products are designed to work together seamlessly and create an even more connected experience for customers whether they want to work or play, communicate, connect and live healthier.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 has the style and design of a regular time-piece and is made of stainless steel with high quality leather bands.

For the first time there will also be a titanium model which includes the regular features like the rotating bezel so you can move between apps, scroll notifications and change widgets and complications.

Galaxy Watch 3 is 14 per cent thinner than the original Galaxy Watch, 8 per cent smaller and 15 per cent lighter.

Users can also choose from more than 80,000 watch faces in the Galaxy Store or design their own.

The device will be available in two sizes – 41mm and 45mm – with both LTE and Bluetooth variants.

There are new health and fitness features aboard the Galaxy Watch 3 to take your health and wellness monitoring to the next level.

In the coming months the device will be able to tell you your blood pressure and offer ECG (electrocardiogram) readings pending regulatory approval.

The watch can also detect if the wearer has taken a fall and then notify emergency services and contacts if no movement is immediately detected after the tumble.

On the fitness side, users will soon be able to access VO2 max readings which offer an insight into oxygen uptake.

The new Samsung Health Monitor app also includes 120 different video workouts which can be cast to your smart TV while Galaxy Watch 3 can track the workout.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 now includes sleep tracking and can provide a score for your sleep and also suggest ways you can achieve better rest.

The 41mm Galaxy Watch 3 is available in Mystic Silver and Mystic Bronze. The 45mm model is available in Mystic Black and Mystic Silver.

They will be priced at $849 (45mm LTE), $799 (41mm LTE), $699 (45mm BT) and $649 (41mm BT).

They are available from August 6.

The Galaxy Buds Live noise cancelling earphones don’t look like earphones – they look like beans.

This unique shape means they fit just outside your ear canal unlike regular earphones that fit inside your ear canal.

Components have been arrange horizontally instead of vertically so they also don’t protrude from your ears.

This tip-less design makes them a better fit for your ear and therefore more comfortable to wear even for long periods.

The Galaxy Buds Live utilise AKG audio expertise and include a 12mm speaker and bass duct.

There are three microphones and a voice pickup unit so your voice is loud and clear on the phone.

The active noise cancellation can also tune out distracting ambient sound.

The Galaxy Buds Live can seamlessly pair and switch between compatible devices.

Users can also use Galaxy Buds Live as a microphone when recording videos with the Samsung Galaxy Note.

Galaxy Buds Live will be priced at $319 and are available from August 6.

The Tab S7 has an 11-inch LTPS TFT display while the Tab S7+ has a 12.4-inch Super AMOLED display with both supporting a wide 16:10 aspect ratio picture.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S7+ tablet will also be the first to offer 5G connectivity so you can stay connected anywhere at high speed.
