Apple has confirmed its annual Worldwide Developers Conference will be held online from June 8-12 when the company will reveal its long-awaited AI advancements and the latest operating system updates for the iPhone, iPad, Mac, Vision Pro, Apple Watch and Apple TV.
WWDC 2026 will kick off with a keynote and a run through of the new software and developers tools in iOS 27, iPadOS 27, visionOS 27, watchOS 27 and macOS 27.
In addition to the online event, Apple will give developers and students the chance to attend an in-person event at Apple Park on June 8.
“WWDC is one of the most exciting times for us at Apple because it’s a chance for our incredible global developer community to come together for an electrifying week that celebrates technology, innovation and collaboration,” said Susan Prescott, Apple’s vice president of Worldwide Developer Relations.
“We can’t wait to see many of you online and in person for what is sure to be one of our best WWDC events yet.”
All eyes will be on Apple Intelligence and Siri.
Apple unveiled Apple Intelligence and personalised Siri features at the 2024 WWDC.
At the conference, Apple announced many ambitious Siri features announced including Personal Context which gives Siri the ability to look at photos, messages and your calendar to answer queries and organise your time and Semantic Indexing which can look at data from emails, images, apps you’ve used and websites you’ve visited.
A year later at the 2025 WWDC Apple admitted it was still not ready and the development wasn’t up to Apple’s high standards.
But then in January, Apple announced it was partnering with Google Gemini in a multi-year collaboration.
Apple said Google AI technology would provide its most capable foundation for its AI features.
We’re expecting Apple Intelligence and a more personalised Siri will finally be revealed at WWDC 2026.
