Prestigious audio brand Bang & Olufsen is celebrating its 100th birthday with a new range of products that highlight the company’s unmistakable designs and sound quality.
The Centennial Collection has combined decades of design inspiration through archival details with contemporary craftsmanship.
The collection includes the Beoplay H100, Beosound A5 and the Beosound A9 5th Gen.
“Since our founding in 1925, timeless design has been at the heart of everything we craft,” says Kristian Teär, CEO of Bang & Olufsen.
“The Centennial Collection honours our past, celebrates our present, and looks to the future.
“It is a tribute to the icons that have shaped Bang & Olufsen and to the enduring values that define our legacy.”
The collection draws its inspiration from Bang & Olufsen’s rich history from the checkered grill patterns of 1970s radios, the brushed aluminium surfaces of the products of the 1980s to the refined leather accents of the last decade.
BEOPLAY H100 CENTURY BROWN HEADPHONES – $2,300
The Beoplay H100 headphones provides immersive sound with timeless design that’s been optimised with Dolby Atmos.
It has a leather headband in Century Red with a Chestnut Brown inner headband which matches the Chestnut Brown leather ear cushions and Century Blue detailing.
The glass disc in natural silver is where you will find the Bang & Olufsen 100th anniversary logo.
BEOSOUND A5 CENTURY WEAVE PORTABLE SPEAKER – $2,750
The Beosound A5 has wi-fi and Bluetooth connectivity and a long lasting battery that can be recharged wirelessly.
Designed for use indoors and out, the A5 has a paper raffia weave in Beige and Chestnut Brown which reimagines the speaker grilles of the 1950s and highlights the textures of Bang & Olufsen’s earliest radios.
It also has a brushed aluminium frame, a Century Red leather strap and an engraved anniversary logo.
BEOSOUND A9 CENTURY BLUE SPEAKER – $8,250
The Beosound A9 floor speaker has a classic sculptural form and high quality room-filling sound which is powered seven fine-tuned drivers.
The speaker is wrapped in Kvadrat’s Centennial Cadence fabric and checkered weave in Century Blue and Chestnut Brown.
It has an aluminium ring and legs finished with an 80s inspired brushed treatment.
