There is more than one side to a story and soon at Hoyts Broadway in Sydney there will be more than one side to the screen with the introduction of the panoramic ScreenX experience.
The new auditorium uses the world’s first multi-projection cinema system that completely reinvents the way moviegoers experience the latest films.
The 270-degree panoramic screen puts viewers in the heart of the action, with key scenes expanding beyond the traditional screen in front of them to the side walls.
There have been several films released in the ScreenX multi-screen format, including Moana, Toy Story 5, Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu, The Devil Wears Prada 2, Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
This innovation is the latest feature released by Hoyts to entice moviegoers back into the cinemas to experience films in a way that cannot be replicated at home.
“The strong performance of ScreenX at our existing locations demonstrates the growing demand for premium, innovative cinema experiences,” says Hoyts Group CEO and President Damian Keogh.
“Expanding the format to Hoyts Broadway is a natural next step as we continue to invest in elevating the moviegoing experience for our guests.
“Blockbusters are meant to be experienced, not just seen.
“With panoramic visuals extending beyond the main screen, ScreenX immerses audiences in the story like never before.”
ScreenX uses the latest multi-projection technology and immersive surround sound to literally expand the cinematic image beyond the traditional screen in front of the viewers.
“As the cinema industry continues to evolve, moviegoers are increasingly seeking premium entertainment experiences that deliver a level of immersion, scale, and emotional impact that simply cannot be replicated at home,” says Don Savant, Chief Business Officer & Chief Marketing Officer of CJ 4DPLEX
“We are proud to continue our partnership with HOYTS to bring this next-generation cinema experience to audiences across Australia.”
ScreenX puts the audience literally at the centre of the action and creates a viewing experience like no other.
There are more than 370 ScreenX auditoriums around the world in 40 countries.
