Australians love tech and want to keep up with the latest products but rises in the cost of living is making it even harder. But the good news is there are plenty of budget-friendly options out there.

In most cases, the tech we’re talking about is essential and include products like smartphones, phone plans and devices to track our health and wellbeing.

Of course, we also we want to be entertained as well and there are affordable options there as well.

And all the products we’re suggesting are all under $200 – and in some cases under $100.

The products include the HMD Key smartphone, the Laser Multi-Angle Tube Android LED projector, Belkin SoundForm Motion 2 True Wireless Earbuds and the V-Fitness Momentum 2.0 smartwatch.

And there is a Boost Mobile plan that will keep you connected for an entire year for just $300.

HMD KEY SMARTPHONE – $129

The HMD Key has been designed to deliver the features we look for in a smartphone at a much more affordable price.

It has 6.52-inch display, is running Android 14 Go Edition and has a 4000mAh battery that offers 47 hours of run time.

On the camera side there are dual 8MP cameras on the rear panel and a 5MP front camera.

It has a number of camera modes including portrait, night, pro, slow motion, time lapse and panorama.

BELKIN SOUNDFORM MOTION 2 TRUE WIRELESS EARBUDS – $69.96

The Belkin SoundForm Motion 2 True Wireless earphones have 12mm drivers onboard and offer three EQ presets for impressive audio quality.

They are Bluetooth 5.3 compatible for easy pairing and multipoint two-device connectivity.

The earbuds deliver nine hours of play time with a further 24 hours available with the charging case.

And they are IPX5 rated which means they can be used when you’re sweating it out during a run or a workout.

LASER MULTI-ANGLE TUBE ANDROID LED PROJECTOR – $199

This smart LED projector allows users to enjoy their entertainment in full HD quality at a size up to 100-inches.

It has Android TV built in so you can access YouTube and streaming services including Netflix, Disney+ and Prime Video.

It has a HDMI port so you can easily connect a gaming console or Blu-ray player.

The Laser LED projector also has auto keystone correction, auto focus and zoom control you can quickly turn any space into your personal cinema.

V-FITNESS MOMENTUM 2.0 SMARTWATCH – $69.95

The V-Fitness Momentum 2.0 Smartwatch offers an easy way to track your fitness and health.

The affordable device will keep you connected to your notifications from your favourite smartphone apps and you will never miss a call.

The watch has real-time activity tracking for heart rate, steps, calories and distance.

It also has built-in games including crowd favourite Candy Crush.

BOOST MOBILE 265GB PREPAID SIM – $300

The Boost Mobile 12-month pre-paid plan works out at just $22 a month and includes 265GB of data, unlimited standard calls and texts and international calls to 20 destinations.

Customers on this plan have full access to the entire Telstra network which covers 99.7 per cent of the population.

If you’re looking for value along with a reliable connection this is an excellent choice.
