Samsung has announced an all-new Smart Monitor that will meet the needs and converging lifestyle of the Australian customer so they can work, learn and consume entertainment content in one place.
The Samsung Smart Monitor combines the power of mobile and PC connectivity with remote home office and learning features.
It also has a smart hub alongside a comprehensive entertainment hub to make it similar to the Samsung smart TV platform – but without the digital TV tuner.
Also on board is wi-fi and Bluetooth so users can connect a keyboard and mouse to get your work done and connect directly to the internet and access popular streaming services when it’s time to kick back and relax with some entertainment.
The Samsung Smart Monitor will be available in two models – the M7 and the M5.
The M7 has a 32-inch 4K UHD display while the M5, available in 32-inch and 27-inch options, supports full high definition resolution.
“The Samsung Smart Monitor has been designed to keep-up with the evolving way that we need our technology to perform in our homes,” says Jeremy Senior, Head of Consumer Electronics, Samsung Australia.
“With the Samsung Smart Monitor, people no longer have to choose between a screen for work and learning and another for enjoying TV, movies and more.
“Using the M7 and M5 Smart Monitors you can get work done without a PC using Microsoft Office 365, remote access or via DeX, then switch to entertainment with the on-board Smart Hub that comes with your favourite streaming services.”
The 32-inch Samsung Smart Monitor M7 will be priced at $699 while the Samsung Smart Monitor M5 will be $399 (27-inch) and $499 (32-inch).
