LG announces pricing for its 2021 QNED 4K and 8K MiniLED TV range

LG has announced the pricing and availability of its new QNED MiniLED TV range which will be available in 4K and 8K and in 65-inch, 75-inch and 86-inch sizes.

The LG QNED MiniLED TV line-up take their place as the company’s flagship LED/LCD TV models which utilise the power of MiniLED panels and combines them with Quantum Dot and NanoCell technologies to produce improved black levels, even more accurate colour and greater contrast.

And it is all housed in a sleek and slim chassis which has been optimised for wall.

The LG QNED MiniLED TVs start at $4,679 and go all the way up to $10,799.

“LG QNED MiniLED TVs will enrich the everyday lives of our customers, whether they enjoy movies, sports or gaming,” says Tony Brown, Marketing Manager for Home Entertainment at LG Electronics Australia.

“Combining the best of both Quantum Dot and NanoCell colour technologies with the advantages of MiniLED backlights, our QNED MiniLED TVs are a new addition to our innovative home entertainment range and offer Australians a new and improved LED/LCD TV range in big screen sizes.

“As we spend more time at home, it is clear that Australians are continuing to invest in upgrading the home entertainment experience for their houses and we’re proud to offer them a new premium viewing option.”

With the new MiniLED lights there are between 960 to 2,400 individual dimming zones depending on the model to deliver precise backlight control and ultra-high contrast ratios.

The 86-inch 8K QNED TV (86QNED99) has approximately 28,000 LED lights arranged to create 2,400 local dimming zones.

The result is an even greater contrast level and higher brightness but with more accurate and natural colour reproduction.

And LG is delivering the technology in larger screen sizes which are even more popular with Australian customers to create incredible home entertainment experiences and the life-like atmosphere and excitement of sporting events.

The TVs will be available in 65-inch, 75-inch and 86-inch to give you the best seat in the house.

The Sports Alert feature will also send you notifications about key moments before, during and after games for sports including Rugby Union, Premier League, NBA and NFL.

Under the hood the a9 Alpha Gen 4 and a7 Alpha Gen 4 AI processors include deep learning technology so they can upscale picture content to look even sharper and more detailed.

Of course, the TVs will give users access to the latest streaming apps including Netflix, Disney+, Stan, Apple TV+, Amazon Prime, Optus Sports and more.

Also on board is Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos which can be enjoyed through compatible streaming services.

The TVs running the new LG webOS 6.0 interface with voice control through LG ThinQ, Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa platforms.

The TVs will also come with a 2021 Magic Remote which makes it easy to navigate the menu system and get to your content.
