Uniden has released a new full high definition security camera that works without wi-fi or mains power which means it can be used to monitor building sites, properties, caravans, boats and even agricultural equipment or livestock.
The Uniden App Cam Solo 4G connects through the cellular network and has a rechargeable battery on board but, when paired with the Uniden Solar Panel, can be powered non-stop anywhere.
This provides numerous options and flexibility so users can place the camera wherever they want for their surveillance needs.
This means it is possible to set up the device where wi-fi is unavailable and in remote locations.
Users need to insert a 4G SIM card with a data plan for it to be used in places like farms and rural properties, at a holiday residence and other leisure settings like a marina where you may have a boat moored.
The Uniden App Cam Solo 4G camera is completely weatherproof which means it could be positioned outdoors and indoors.
The camera provides a 110-degree viewing angle plus night vision.
It also comes with a camouflaged silicon sleeve so it doesn’t stand out.
On board is a large capacity 7,800mAh battery that can be topped up during the day with the Uniden Solar Panel.
Footage from the camera can be viewed remotely using the free Uniden Solo app which can receive notifications when motion is detected.
The Uniden App Cam Solo 4G camera also includes Thermosense which can sense both heat and movement so you won’t get flooded with false notifications.
Footage can be captured and stored on an SD card or via the Uniden Cloud backup.
Also on board is a siren which can be activated remotely to startle intruders.
It has a Two-Way Talk feature so you can talk to whoever is in front of the camera using the built-in mic and speaker like couriers, visiting tradies and other visitors.
The Uniden App Cam Solo 4G camera and Solar Panel Kit is available now for $649.
