Telstra has wasted no time in releasing its plan pricing for the iPhone 5C and the iPhone 5S which will be released in Australia on September 20.
The new devices are available on Telstra’s Everyday Connect S ($60), M ($80), L ($100), and XL ($130) plans with additional monthly payments for the handsets on top of that.
Starting at the S plan which includes $600 of value with unlimited SMS and 1GB of data the iPhone 5S will cost $78 (16GB), $82 (32GB) and $90 (64GB). The iPhone 5C on the S plan will be priced at $71 (16GB) and $78 (32GB).
Moving up to the M plan which includes $800 of value, unlimited texts and 1.5GB data the iPhone 5S will cost $88 (16GB), $92 (32GB) and $101 (64GB). The iPhone 5C on the S plan will be priced at $82 (16GB) and $88 (32GB).
On the L plan which includes $900 of value, unlimited texts and 2GB data the iPhone 5S will be priced at $104 (16GB), $109 (32GB) and $115 (64GB). The iPhone 5C on the S plan will be priced at $100 (16GB) and $104 (32GB).
And finally the XL plan which includes unlimited calls, MMS and texts and 3GB data the iPhone 5S will be priced at $134 (16GB), $139 (32GB) and $145 (64GB). The iPhone 5C on the S plan will be priced at $130 (16GB) and $134 (32GB).
These iPhone 5S plans are more expensive than the previous iPhone 5 plans because of the increased outright prices across the board which are $869 (16GB), $999 (32GB) and $1,129 (64GB).
The iPhone 5C, seen as the replacement for the iPhone 5, is slightly cheaper at $739 (16GB) and $869 (32GB). There is no 64GB option for the iPhone 5C.
This colourful device was anticipated to be the cheaper entry-level device that was missing from Apple’s portfolio but many were surprised at the higher-than-expected pricing.
The iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C go on sale on September 20.
