Oppo has launched its latest smartphone at the Louvre Museum in Paris – the Find X – a flagship product that brings together numerous innovations and bold design choices to push the envelope in what’s possible with a mobile device.
The Find X has introduced numerous industry firsts including a slide up camera that emerges from the body of the smart phone, improved 3D camera technology and Artificial Intelligence.
It has a 6.42-inch Panoramic Arc 19.5:9 screen with that display taking up 93.8 per cent of the device.
Find X is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor with a massive 8GB RAM and 256GB on-board storage.
The new Oppo smartphone introduces a new sliding structure to bring the camera in to view when needed.
When you want to take a photo, the camera emerges from the top of the device to reveal a 25-megapixel front camera and rear dual 16-megapixel and 20-megapixel cameras.
Included here is a 3D Structured light module which can project 15,000 dots to construct a precision 3D model of a user’s face with accuracy down to a millimeter.
That technology will also help the Find X take even better selfies using the 3D Smart Selfie Capture feature which intelligently analyses your face and provide suggestions to make you look your best.
The camera also has AI Scene Recognition so it can identify objects and optimise the image.
It can support 20 scenarios of photography and more than 800 scenario combinations combining things like snow, pets, food, beaches and buildings in the same image.
The 3D technology also comes into play on the security side and provides a higher level of security than fingerprint identification.
The Find X will come in two gradient colour combinations – Bordeaux Red and Glacier Blue – which offer different colour effects that changes with your surroundings.
The device is running Android 8.1 as well as the updated Oppo ColorOS 5.1 user interface.
Oppo has also launched a three-year exclusive partnership with supercar brand Lamborghini.
A Lamborghini edition of the Find X has been specially designed with the look of a Lamborghini sports car including carbon fibre texture and a 3D engraved logo.
Under the hood is a 3,730mAh battery that supports VOOC flash charging.
Pricing and availability is yet to be confirmed for Australia.
