Fitbit has just unveiled one of its most advanced devices – the Charge 4 – which now includes built-in GPS, fitness and health tracking and up to seven days of battery life.
The Fitbit Charge 4 maintains its thin and light design and is comfortable to wear all day and night.
The device has a bright scratch proof screen that can be read easily anywhere and also a swim proof build so it can be your exercise companion anywhere.
Fitbit Charge 4 now includes even more smart features including Active Zone Minutes – a new personalised standard based on your resting heart rate and age.
It can track any workout and measure how long you spend in each heart rate zone towards a weekly goal of 150 minutes.
More content has been added to Fitbit Premium including programs and workouts along with 40 new pieces of free content.
“Our mission has always been to help people around the world get healthier. In today’s extraordinary times, that mission is more important than ever but we realise how hard it is to focus on your health and wellness,” said James Park, CEO and co-founder.
“However, staying active, eating well and getting enough sleep can help reduce stress and boost immunity.
To help support our users, we’re offering a free trial of Fitbit Premium and added content so our users have the right tools at home to help them stay healthy, and with Active Zone Minutes, we are giving users a new personalised standard for health and fitness so they can get the most out of any activity that works for them and help to keep them motivated.”
On top of the regular goal-based exercises, users can also access seven GPS-enabled exercise modes.
Once a GPS workout is completed, you can sync your device to the Fitbit app to see your heat map complete with your workout intensity and your heart rate zones.
Active Zone Minutes takes your personalised heart rate and does the math for you to let you know exactly what you need to do to reach your exercise goals.
Fitbit Charge 4 can also track your sleep as well and offer deeper insights into your sleep habits and quality of rest.
It is also a smart device and can sync with your smartphone and provide notifications.
And for the first time, the Fitbit Charge 4 also comes with Spotify so you can access controls to play your favourite music and playlists while you’re exercising .
The Fitbit Charge 4 goes on sale on April 14 and will be priced at $249.95 in black, rosewood and storm blue/black. The Fitbit Charge 4 Special Edition is $289.95 and has an exclusive granite reflective/black woven band plus a classic black band.
