Huawei launches new Dual View Camera mode for the P30 and P30 Pro
Huawei has just announced new camera capabilities for its excellent P30 and P30 Pro smartphones including a new dual view mode to shoot split screen videos through its multiple real lenses.
Customers who have already purchased the P30 and P30 Pro outright can update their system software from today to enjoy these new features.
Those who bought their device through Telstra, Optus and Vodafone will have to wait till May 15.
The Huawei P30 and P30 Pro have already won acclaim for the camera systems with the P30 Pro judged the best smartphone camera by DxOMark.
The new Dual-View Camera Mode will allow users to create split screen videos by using the phone’s primary camera and zoom lens at the same time to provide two angles at the same time.
One provides an overall shot while the other allows between 2x and 15x zoom.
It’s now possible to capture a wider view with more of the background and surrounding objects while simultaneously zooming in on your subject on the split screen.
Managing Director of Huawei Consumer Australia, Mr Larking Huang said: “At Huawei, we pride ourselves on our ability to constantly provide innovative features that enhance our customers’ day to day lives.
“This new camera mode can play a part in all of our lives – from travellers not wanting to miss a moment, to parents watching their kids play sport as they record what’s happening on the field while also zooming in on their child.
“We are excited to bring this new feature to market and we know Aussies will love it.”
