There are plenty of dating apps and websites but an Australian developer has come up with the first dating app – Fitafy – that matches like-minded singles based on their mutual interest in health and fitness.
The Fitafy app, an Australian first, uses AI-matching technology to match singles based on their fitness and health preferences.
Are you an early riser? Do you like to exercise? Are you a vegan? These are major factors which can determine the success of a relationship.
“Fitafy isn’t about abs, tans or a stereotypical view of what it means to be fit and healthy.” says co-founder and fitness industry veteran Brendan McCormack.
“It doesn’t matter whether you’re into bushwalking, triathlon, running, ocean swimming, Crossfit, yoga, eating Keto or vegan; as long as living a healthy life is important to you, then Fitafy is an app that can help you find your perfect “fit”.”
Fitafy is available to anyone in Australia over 18 and has been designed to put reality and humanity back into dating by focusing on more than just appearances and a casual swipe.
The app allows you to build out a profile that can outline your specific health and fitness interests before matching you with someone who shares them.
The Fitafy founders have launched the app at a time when people want to get out of their social isolation and push through the superficiality of social media and other dating apps.
The goal here is to not just create another hook-up app but to literally build healthy relationships based on genuine lifestyle values and interests.
Perth based co-founder McCormack got the idea for Fitafy after being asked during a live Instagram Q&A to find a person a date.
McCormack shared this request to his significant social media following in the fitness community and lined up a match before being inundated by similar requests from his other followers.
The Fitafy app Is free to download and users can create a profile and upload an image or two which illustrates their lifestyle and tells a story about them.
There is a free and premium version of Fitafy.
Users can download the app and make matches and chat on Fitafy for free while the premium subscription model allows users to create advanced targeted filters based on personalised fitness preferences and profile-boosting capabilities.
Pricing starts at $16.70 per month with a six-month subscription available for $99.99, three-month subscription $59.99 or $39.99 if you prefer month to month.
Fitafy is available now to download on both Apple App Store and the Google Play Store.
