The end of 2019 is almost upon us and Google has revealed the top searches made by Australian users for everything from rugby and politics to bushfires and plant-based diets.
Google searches vary from people wanting to find information, catch up on news, sport or instructions on how to do something or why something happened.
Of the combined results, the top searches were for fires near me, Rugby World Cup and Cricket World Cup followed by the Election Results Australia 2019.

2019 was the year we had it all – bushfires, flood and cyclones.
One of the most popular searches was NSW fires followed by Cyclone Oma and Townsville flooding.
