Garmin has just launched an attractive new vivosmart HR+ fitness band which now includes a wrist-based heart rate monitor along with built-in GPS to keep track of all your activities.
The device is designed for users who want to get into shape and maintain a level of fitness as well as track their progress.
The vivosmart HR+ is a great starting point.
It has a slim design and an easy-to-read screen which can display the time, steps, distance, calories burned, floors climbed and activity intensity.
And with the Garmin Elevate wrist heart rate technology, the vivosmart HR+ provides 24/7 monitoring when you’re at rest or in the middle of a workout.
The addition of GPS provides another level of accuracy when tracking distance and pace for your exercise along with a map of your run as well.
Other features include personal records, virtual racer, Auto Pause, Auto Lap and walk/run mode.
And with the Elevate wrist heart rate monitor also helps quantify the intensity of a user’s training and your progress towards reaching your fitness goals.
The vivosmart HR+ automatically detects your activities including walking, running, cycling and elliptical training without the need to start a timed activity.
And the good news is the device is also waterproof so you can even extend your training to the swimming pool.
Throughout the day the device syncs wirelessly with the Garmin IQ so you can track and graph your activities over time and compare your stats and also challenge friends and family.
And when linked to your smartphone, the vivosmart HR+ can also relay your notifications and text messages, emails, calendar reminders and other alerts.
The Garmin vivosmart HR+ has up to five days of battery life in normal mode and up to eight hours in GPS mode.
The Garmin vivosmart HR+ will be available later this month for $349.
