Modern technology gives us many things.

Samsung releases stunning 57-inch Odyssey Neo G9 curved monitor

The new Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 dual-UHD 57-inch curved display really has to be seen to be believed. It was unveiled in Las Vegas at the Consumer Electronics Show.

It’s the world’s first single monitor with dual ultra-high definition resolution and is a powerful solution for people looking to have more room to move for their work and play.

“We are introducing the future of gaming monitors with our Odyssey Neo G9, making each game more lifelike with innovative features and picture quality on a new scale,” said Hoon Chung, Executive Vice President of Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics.

“CES is the perfect place to showcase our innovations that can take not only gamers but also graphic designers or TV fans to the next level while providing personalized experiences across a range of integrated smart apps.”

The Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 Gaming Monitor (Model Name: G95NC) delivers like no other thanks to its 32:9 aspect ratio and 7680 x 2160 resolution.

The 57-inch screen’s curve is 1000R and utilises Quantum Mini LED technology with VESA Display HDR 1000 to bring a high-quality image to your gaming environment, so you see better in both the shadows and bright scenes as well.

It has a matte display to reduce light reflection and minimise distractions during your most competitive games.

It’s the world’s first monitor to support DisplayPort 2.1 which is capable of moving data twice as fast as the previous DisplayPort 1.4.

This new DP 2.1 standard allows lossless Display Stream Compression (DSC) to ensure what’s shown on the screen has zero distortion.

The monitor also has a refresh rate of 240 Hertz so it can easily keep up in fast games.

Pricing and release date in Australia is yet to be announced.
