Fasten your seatbelts – Gran Turismo 7 starts its engines on PlayStation today
Ladies and gentlemen, fasten your seatbelts. PlayStation has launched Gran Turismo 7 – the latest version of the iconic driving simulator – in Australia.
The Polyphony Digital title is an immersive driving experience which is aimed at enthusiasts and casual fans alike.
Gran Turismo 7 is available for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 from today.
It gives players the ability to race, collect, unlock, tune and even photograph their car.
And right from the get-go, Gran Turismo 7 tries to get to know you and ask you how you like to drive whether it’s with a control pad or motion steering or whether you want auto drive features turned on?
It also gives you the option of turning on visual indicators to help you brake at the right time.
Having these questions set up for you early will allow you to get right into your very first race which is the new Music Rally feature.
Instead of racing the clock, the aim is to listen to the music track while you’re driving and passing through coloured gates picks up the beats as you go along.
the more beats you pass, the longer you can drive.
And the faster the beat the faster you need to drive.
It’s an easier way to get accustomed to the controls especially for those players who are knew to the franchise.
There are hundreds of cars to choose from along with thousands of parts so it’s understandable a new player may feel overwhelmed.
But don’t worry – you can still enjoy the game without being a revhead.
The first hours of play guides drivers through each area of the world map and explains what you need to do and where you need to go.
The main appeal of the game is its sheer beauty – from the gorgeous cars and stunning scenery that all looks so real you’ll think you’re watching a movie not playing a game.
Drivers first get to choose from one of three compact cars before you work your way into speedier and sportier options.
Gran Turismo has always been a game celebrates driving with Licence Tests designed to enhance your skills behind the wheel.
And there are plenty of options to mix it up a bit with The Café offering different paths to follow including World Circuits, Licence Tests, Scapes and the Tuning Shop.
Gran Turismo 7 is available now for PS4 and PS5.
