We’re all leading busy lives – especially families – and trying to stay organised can be a challenge but the new Skylight Calendar might just the solution to help you get organised.
Skylight Calendar has a 15-inch display and looks like a digital photo frame which can be either wall mounted or set up on a stand.
Now, instead of the paper calendars attached to the fridge with a magnet or a white board that someone accidentally erased, the Skylight Calendar can bring everyone’s schedule into line and place it in the same calendar for everyone to see.
The Skylight Calendar is the second product released by the brand following the launch of the Skylight Frame which is available in 10-inch and 15-inch sizes.
Naturally the device connects via wi-fi and can sync with existing digital calendars like Google Calendar, Outlook, Apple calendar and Yahoo.
Now everyone can see at a glance what’s coming up including events, to do lists, appointments, after school activities, holidays and weekend sports just to name a few.
To make things easier, each member of the family can have their own colour so it’s easy to see who is doing what throughout the week.
And even when you’re not home you still have access to the Skylight Calendar through the Skylight companion mobile app.
The app can also be used to add events to the calendar and alter events.
The Skylight Calendar can also create and manage custom lists which may include things to do, a shopping list and other tasks.
These can all be accessed on the go with the mobile app and, of course, accessed directly on the Skylight Calendar.
Parents can also set up a list of chores for themselves and their kids to ensure things get done around the house.
The Skylight Calendar can also be paired with a Plus Plan for $49 a year (first month is free) which can unlock features like turning the calendar into a photo frame when not in use, meal planning and Magic Import which can convert any PDF or email with event information into an event on the Skylight Calendar.
“Skylight Frame was conceived while I was living far from family, and wanted a device that helped me effortlessly share memories and experiences instantly into my family’s home,” said Michael Segal, Skylight Founder and CEO.
“The Skylight Calendar was built from a similar need for connectivity, when we noticed how families, especially ones with children, were spending too much time and energy trying to coordinate schedules, at the expense of time spent together.
“We wanted to create a solution that would simplify their lives and give families time back with their loved ones.”
The Skylight Calendar is priced at $499 or $479 if you sign up to the Plus Plan – the first month is free and then it costs $49 a year.
