Jaycar Electronics has opened its new concept store in Sydney and kicked off its Tech Fest which will run all weekend where customers can enjoy free workshops and take advantage of special daily offers.
The new 420-square metre concept store, located in the Central Park Mall in Broadway, has more than 7,000 active product lines including smart products and all the bits and pieces you need to complete your own projects.
Tech Fest runs until June 16 and will give customers the opportunity to take a look at the community areas and Maker Space where ideas and projects can come to life.
Customers will also enjoy giveaways and hot chips along with special sessions for kids.

Remember the game on the old Nokia phones? This step-by-step workshop explains how to build it yourself using an Arduino board and a few modules. There’s the option to purchase the parts afterwards at a discount. Suitable for beginners and ages 8 and up.

A demonstration about how you can use Raspberry Pi to build yourself your very own arcade machine, so you can play Galaga, Asteroids, Pacman and more. Suitable for all ages.

A 15-minute hands on lesson teaching the correct soldering basics to get started. Suitable for novices. Ages 8 and up. Parental supervision required for customers under 16.
