Huawei launches new Watch GT Active and Elegant smartwatches

Huawei has launched two new editions of the Watch GT – Active and Elegant – which offer classic wristwatch design, fitness and health tracking and a battery life that can be measured in weeks.

The Watch GT Active and Elegant have 46mm and 42mm watch faces respectively with dual chipsets to provide power-saving technology for efficiency and performance.

The Huawei Watch GT Active has a battery that can run for up to two weeks under typical use while the Watch GT Elegant offers up to one week of battery life.

IDC data on wearable sales shows that Huawei has achieved a remarkable year-on-year growth of 282.2 per cent compared to the same quarter a year ago.

The Huawei Watch GT range offers a traditional watch design which is slim and stylish.

They come with a Fluroelastomer strap which offers more durability and comfort.

Naturally, each watch can be configured with a variety of watch faces to suit every occasion and every mood.

The Watch GT Active is available in titanium grey with an orange or green strip while the Watch GT Elegant comes in Magic Pearl White and Tahitian Magic Black Pearl with colour matched straps.

Additionally the Watch GT Elegant also features a ceramic bezel.

Each device will cater for your fitness and health tracking needs with numerous modes to track activities including climbing, indoor cycling and swimming.

It also features triathlon mode so users can track their open water swimming, outdoor cycling and outdoor running which also takes transition times into account.

Each watch also features the TruSeen 3.0 heart rate monitor which offers precise 24-hour a day real-time monitoring as well as resting heart rate.

Also on board is the TruSleep 2.0 smart sleep technology to monitor sleep quality and identify sleeping issues with more than 200 suggestions to improve your sleep quality through the real-time heart rate monitoring, sleep breathing and smart data analysis.

The Huawei Watch GT Active and Watch GT Elegant will be available in late August and will each up be priced at $399.
