Samsung’s Odyssey curved gaming monitors includes a huge 49-inch QLED display


Samsung has released new Odyssey premium gaming monitors which includes a massive curved 49-inch screen with 1000R curvature that will provide the ultimate gaming experience.

The Odyssey G7 and G9 are the first 1000R gaming monitors that bring the best of Samsung QLED display technology to the table along with fast response and eye comfort.

The 1000R curvature – one of the most curved monitors on the market – is designed to surround the player’s field of vision so they are at the centre of the action without any distractions.

The G7 will be available in two sizes – 32-inch and 27-inch while the G9 is a huge 49-inches.

The Odyssey monitors have a 240Hz refresh rate and a 1ms response time for those fast games that demand even more from players.

“The Samsung Odyssey line-up completely challenges the traditional gaming experience by bringing together the key elements of next-level game play: comfortable curvature, immersive interaction and perfect picture quality.”

The G9 Odyssey 49-inch has an ultrawide QHD QLED display with a resolution of 5120 x 1440.

The G9 is the world’s first dual-quad high definition (DQHD) gaming monitor to include a rapid 240Hz refresh rate with 1ms response time, a peak brightness of 1000cd/m2, a 32:9 aspect ratio and the immersive 1000R curvature.
The 32-inch and 27-inch G7 Odyssey monitors have a WQHD resolution of 2560 x 1440 and a wider field of view.

And not only do the screens look amazing, they also have an eye-catching design.

The G7 has a matte black finish with an infinity core light that can be adjusted to change during gameplay or remain static.

Each monitor is also height adjustable to so they can suit anyone.

The G7 also has a slim and minimal stand and gets out of the way when there are lots of mouse movements required in your game.

Both the G7 and G9 monitors feature G-Sync and AMD Freestyle compatibility which eliminates screen tearing and a 1ms response time for intense gaming action.

Pricing and Availability

The Samsung Odyssey G7 and G9 go on sale 3rd August, with pre-orders starting from 17th July for the G9 through Harvey Norman and from the 20th July for the G7 through Mwave, Scorptec, PC Case Gear, PLE Computers, Computer Alliance, Centrecom, and Online Centre.
