Samsung has just launched its most curved and immersive monitor – the CT55 – which is designed to offer the user a comfortable close viewing angle.
Available in 32-inch and 27-inch, the Samsung CT55 full high definition monitor has a curvature of 1000R to immerse the user in their content whether its work, entertainment or a game.
The 1000R curvature matches the human field of view so a person can see the entire screen in one glance which helps reduce visual fatigue especially over longer periods of use.
The curvature of the monitor is measured in terms of the circular radius and the smaller the radius, the deeper the curve.
On the design side, the CT55 has a minimalist design with three sides offering a borderless look to maximise the viewing experience.
It also has a fabric-textured rear panel and is just 7.9mm thick and all resting atop a slim metal stand.
“The Curved CT55 monitor breaks new ground in Samsung’s range of stunning display innovation that will deliver the more immersive, comfortable, and impactful viewing experiences,” said Phil Gaut, Director Display and Memory, at Samsung Electronics Australia.
“It also builds on our leadership in curved monitor designs since they first launched almost five years ago.
“Demand for curved monitors in Australia continues to grow as more people understand just how important their home or office work station design is when it comes to productivity and comfort.”
The Samsung CT55 also has Eye Saver Mode which reduces blue light emissions while Flicker Free Mode protects users from screen flickering which can contribute to eye strain.
The monitor also has a Game Mode that can optimise the colour and contrast to beautifully display the latest games.
And on top of that, the CT55 has AMD FreeSync functionality and a 75Hz refresh rate for smooth gaming.
Audio-wise, there are built-in 5W stereo speakers to enhance your games and entertainment experience.
The Samsung CT55 monitor also has a triple interface so multiple sources can be connected at the same time.
The Samsung CT55 monitors are available now and priced at $449 (32-inch) and $399 (27-inch).
