A few weeks ago, Apple unveiled iOS 14 and iPadOS 14 which include numerous new features. Now you can install the new software on your iPhone, iPad or Mac right now through the Apple Beta Software Program.
Rather than waiting until the final versions to land in September, users can join the program, use the features and report any bugs they find through a Feedback Assistant app.
To get started you need to enrol your device by going to the Apple Beta Software Program page to access the beta versions of iOS 14 and iPadOS 14. The tvOS beta will also available now through the Apple TV menu.
The macOS Big Sur Public Beta will be available in a few days.
And watchOS 7, which will be joining the Apple Beta Software Program for the first time, will be available soon.
But before you get started make sure you have a back-up of all your devices before updating to the Public Beta software, just in case.
Here what’s you need to do to install iOS 14 and iPadOS 14 today:
This is one of the biggest iOS updates ever with a new look home screen and the ability to add widgets and group your most used apps in the App Library.

To install the Beta version of iOS 14 you need to go to the Apple Beta Software Program page on your iPhone.
Here you will find a link to install a new Profile to prepare your iPhone to install the iOS 14 Beta 2.
Once this downloads, go to Settings > General > Profiles and you will see the iOS 14 Beta 2 profile. Hit install and your iPhone will restart.
After the restart go to Settings > General > Software Update and you’ll find the iOS 14 Public Beta 2 update is ready to install.
iPadOS 14 shares a lot of features with iOS 14 but does include a few new features of its own redesigned widgets for the home screen, sidebars and pull down menus to make navigating apps even easier, improved search and even more Apple Pencil functionality.

To install the iPadOS 14 Public Beta you need to use your iPad to load the Apple Beta Software Program page and download and install the new Profile to prepare your iPad for the update.
