ASUS ROG unveils powerful 2023 laptop line-up to level up your gaming experience

ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) has taken the covers off its 2023 laptop line-up which include new CPUs and GPUs from AMD, Intel and INVIDIA to take your gaming to the next level.

And it keeps things cool with the Intelligent Cooling Technology.

Within the 2023 Strix range, the new models have larger 16 and 18-inch screens with the Zephyrus M16 boasting and AniMe Matrix display while the Flow X13 and XG Mobile have also been upgraded.

NEW CPUs and GPUs

ROG’s 2023 line-up is powered by the new 13th Gen processors from Intel with a mix of performance and efficiency cores, new AMD Ryzen Zen 4 processors and the GeForce RTX 40 Series laptop GPUs from NVIDIA which provides additional features like DLSS 3 and a V1 encoding.

ROG continues to raise the bar for laptop gaming performance and an impressive cooling solution.

IMPROVED NEBULA DISPLAYS AND INTELLIGENT COOLING

To appreciate beautiful graphics you need a beautiful screen and ROG created the Nebular badge in 2022 which shows the unit meets the strict criteria to handle fast motion, offers excellent brightness and can display vivid colours.

Nebula display will now be found in even more models and form factors from the compact 13-inch laptop all the way to the huge 18-inch display.

And while it’s great to have the best performance, ROG knows you need to keep things cool as well.

It does this by balancing cooling performance with acoustics.

Without sufficient cooling capacity, the components won’t perform at their best.

ROG has introduced innovations to more laptops in 2023 including a larger fullwidth heatsink and Tri Fan technology which were both introduced on the Flow X16 last year.

The upgraded heatsink has also been added to this year’s redesigned Zephyrus M16 while the Strix 16-inch and 18-inch models have a thicker variant of the design so the hardware can be pushed to the limit.

Tri Fan technology offers the critical airflow needed for internal components to help the GPU expel excess heat.

ROG Strix G16

ROG STRIX
The Strix SCAR 16 and 18 have been renamed and redesigned to accommodate the larger 16 an 18-inch 16:10 aspect ratio screens.

These displays offer even greater quality so you can see more in the game than ever before.

The 16-inch model can be equipped with ROG’s new QHD 240Hz Nebula HDR display with Mini LED technology.

The Strix Scar 16 and 18 also include improved heat management and are powered by Intel’s top-of-the-line 13th Gen Intel Core  i9 13980HX processor, with 8 Performance-cores and 16 Efficient-cores.

ROG Strix G18

The Strix G16 and Strix G18 is also running the 13th Gen Intel Core i9 13980HX processor and can be configured with up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 Laptop GPU.

AMD’s Ryzen Zen 4 processor offers up to 16 full-performance cores and can power through gaming and content creation alike.

ROG Zephyrus G16

ROG ZEPHYRUS

The ROG Zephyrus offers not only stunning performance but a sleek and light form factor which makes it easy to take anywhere.

This year’s new models, starting with the Zephyrus M16, have reached a new level of performance.

The sleek M16 has been designed for gamers and creators alike and, while maintaining a svelte design, now boasts Tri-Fan technology and a full width heatsink for improved cooling.

This means the M16 can run 25W higher than last year’s model and supply even more power to the Intel Core i9 13900H CPU and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 Laptop GPU with a MUX Switch and NVIDIA Advanced Optimus.

There are upgrades for the entire Zephyrus family with the new Zephyrus G16 joining the line-up with an Intel Core i9 13900H CPU and up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Laptop GPU with a MUX Switch and NVIDIA Advanced Optimus.

ROG Zephyrus M16

The G16 also includes a 16-inch Nebula display, QHD, 240Hz panel for stunning colour and clarity.

The G14 has a 14-inch Nebula HDR display with 504 dimming zones, 600 nits peak brightness and 100 per cent coverage of the DCI-P3 color space.

The Zephyrus Duo 16 has a dual display set up which is made up of a 16-inch mini LED panel and a 4K touchscreen that slides to meet it as the laptop is opened.

This is an ideal platform for gamers and content creators who want access to this type of power and performance on the go.

And this year’s model has even more power at your fingertips with an AMD Ryzen Zen 4 processor with 16 cores and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 Laptop GPU with a MUX Switch.

ROG Flow X13

ROG FLOW

Under the hood of the 2023 Flow X13 is an AMD Ryzen Zen 4 processor and up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Laptop GPU.

The unit has a dedicated MUX switch and INVIDIA Advanced Optimus so it can intelligently route the display signal to find the highest performance in game and create an efficiency for even longer battery life.

The flow X13 has up to 32GB of ultrafast LPDDR 5R AM which provides A50 per sent faster data rate than last year’s model while using 18 per cent less power.

On the design side, the 2023 flow X13 has shrunk its footprint by 10mm while still fitting in a 15-inch keyboard layout and increased battery capacity from 62 to 75Wh.

ROG Flow Z13

The flow Z13 has had a GPU upgrade to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Laptop GPU, with a TGP of up to 65W. That’s a 62 per cent increase compared to the previous model.

It has a Nebula HDR Mini-LED touchscreen display with 1100 nits peak brightness and a 240Hz screen refresh rate.

All Flow machines are built tough and include Corning Gorilla Glass DXC to increase hardness by 40 per cent while at the same time significantly reducing reflections.

The 2023 flow range also includes the brand new XG Mobile which has the incredible horsepower of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 Laptop GPU with a maximum TGP of 175W.

* Stephen Fenech travelled to Las Vegas with support from Samsung, LG, Hisense and ASUS.
