Tesla has opened its 100th Supercharger site in Australia – ten years after launching its first location – to expand the high-speed EV charging network to even more drivers.
The 100th Tesla Supercharger is in Glenelg, South Australia.
Tesla has led the way with the establishment of charging infrastructure across the nation to give drivers who are choosing electric vehicles peace of mind and convenience.
The Tesla Supercharger network has made long distance EV travel a reality in Australia – and it’s not just for Tesla drivers.
It was expanded Non-Tesla EV owners just over a year ago.
Non-Tesla drivers can also access the new 100th site in Glenelg.
Tesla says expanding the Supercharger network to other EV vehicles is another step closer to Tesla’s goal of accelerating the world’s transition to sustainable energy.
“We are dedicated to investing in our Supercharger network to provide a charging experience that fits in with Australian lifestyles,” says Thom Drew, Country Director Tesla Australia & New Zealand.
“Our goal is to make range anxiety a thing of the past by providing convenient, fast, and reliable charging both close to home and on the road and allowing more people to experience the benefits of EV ownership today.”
Tesla’s Supercharger network are now fast and powerful enough to add up to 275km of range in as little as 15 minutes.
