Sonos partners with Sonance to launch a new range of architectural in-wall speakers

Sonos has announced a new range of architectural speakers in partnership with Sonance which have been designed to blend in to your home’s décor.

Sonos Architectural by Sonance is a collection of installed passive speakers for indoor and outdoor use.

The speakers which can be installed in-wall or in-ceiling are available for pre-order from today and will be available on February 26.

The Sonos Outdoor by Sonance will be available in April.

Sonance, already well-known in the architectural speaker space, joined forces with Sonos to create speakers that disappear into any room while still providing excellent sound and ease-of-use.

The speakers have also been optimised for the new Sonos Amp which unlocks TruePlay tuning technology.

This allows the speaker to be optimised depending on the size, construction and furnishings in the room before automatically adjusting the EQ for optimal sound.

“Our goal was to create a solution optimised for installers, bringing the Sonos experience to architectural speakers for the first time,” said Sonos CEO Patrick Spence.

“Sonance was the natural partner, sharing our passion for high quality, reliable sound solutions inside and outside the home.”

With the speakers connected to the new Sonos Amp you get all the benefits of the Sonos system including streaming your favourite music services to the speakers along with AirPlay 2 control.

It also offers HDMI-ARC to bring great sound to your TV as well.

Up to three pairs of Sonos Architectural by Sonance speakers can be powered by a single Sonos Amp.

And the speakers wouldn’t be bearing the Sonos name if they didn’t put the sound experience first.

Each speaker features dynamic bass processing to enhance those low frequencies and provide a premium listening experience.

This is the new Sonos Architectural by Sonance line-up:

– The $899/pair In-Ceiling speakers bring music into any room and are ideal for spacious, ambient listening. They also feature specially designed round, or optional square, grilles which can be painted to match the ceiling.

– The $899/pair In-Wall speakers bring targeted, immersive sound for home theatre. Like the in- ceiling speakers, these speakers feature specially designed grilles which can be painted to match the wall.

– The $1199/pair Outdoor speakers withstand the elements to deliver rich sound outside the home. These outdoor speakers are engineered to withstand humidity, water, salt spray, heat, UV rays, and freezing temperatures.\

The new Sonos Amp, which is more than twice as powerful as its predecessor, will also be available on February 6 for $999.
