Modern technology gives us many things.

Foxtel Now app to close before Foxtel GO takes over

The Foxtel Now app will be retired and customers will be redirected to the Foxtel GO app from tomorrow (September 17) to enjoy their live TV and catch-up content.

This will affect customers who are enjoying their Foxtel Now service on their mobiles and tablets.

The Foxtel Kids app will also be absorbed into the Foxtel GO app before it is closed  in January. Foxtel GO will now feature a dedicated kids homepage and include parental control options.

The rest of the Foxtel Now device apps on gaming consoles, smart TVs, Telstra TV and the Foxtel Now Box will be unaffected in this change.

Foxtel says it will provide a simplified experience for customers who want to access their favourite Foxtel content on the go.

“We have been investing in the Foxtel GO app to provide all our customers with the best of TV and on demand on their mobile device,” said Foxtel Chief Product and Strategy Officer Alice Mascia.

“By focussing on one app, we will also add more value for Foxtel Now customers by providing access to popular features and support from Foxtel GO that were previously unavailable on the Foxtel Now app.

“These features include a preview screen to watch show trailers, an expanded Kids homepage and support for Android 10 and iOS 13, providing them with an even better mobile experience.”

Foxtel GO is available for all Foxtel and Foxtel Now customers as part of their subscription at no extra cost.

Users to register Foxtel GO on multiple devices and watch it on two screens at once.

This means even more access to Foxtel for everyone in your household.

Customers can also use Chrome and Safari browsers to watch Foxtel at www.watch.foxtel.com.au.

For new Foxtel customers, the Foxtel GO app will allow them to access their content immediately as soon as they sign up even before their main service is installed.
