Samsung has unveiled its latest smartphone – the Galaxy S26 FE – which brings together the latest Galaxy features and experiences and offers them at a more affordable price.
Priced from $1,149, the thin and light Samsung Galaxy S26 FE provides enhanced camera capabilities and context-aware Galaxy AI.
“Galaxy S26 FE is purposefully designed to deliver the signature strengths of the Galaxy S series, ensuring that every feature makes a meaningful difference in users’ daily lives,” said Jay Kim, Executive Vice President and Head of Customer Experience Office, Mobile eXperience (MX) Business at Samsung Electronics.
“Packed with beloved Galaxy camera and AI experiences, backed by the latest One UI 9, Galaxy S26 FE comes to life as an ideal choice for those who know exactly what matters most to them.”
The device has a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with up to 120Hz refresh rate and a 4,900 mAh battery which can reach up to 69 per cent charge in around 30 minutes with a 45W adapter.
The new smartphone is running the new One UI 9 which includes context-aware Galaxy AI which can help you stay informed and organised.
Onboard is Now Brief, a new feature introduced with the Galaxy S25, which displays customisable briefing cards for your day to let you know about the weather and your wellness insights and any other appointments throughout your day.
Now Nudge has expanded to selected third-party apps and provides relevant suggestions at the right time of the day to turn insights into actions.
Circle To Search with Google is also a popular feature that’s now part of the Galaxy S26 FE. It makes it easier to search for products, places and objects simply by circling them in an image.
On the camera side, the Galaxy S26 FE has an enhanced triple rear camera system and advanced image processing to captures stills and fast-moving action like never before.
The device includes My Fan Cam, a feature introduced with the latest Galaxy Foldables that can track one person and keep them centred in a video even with other people around them.
For video there is super steady with horizontal lock to make sure your footage is more stable than ever before.
The S26 FE also has a 12 MP front camera for your selfies.
And in low light, Nightography, a signature Samsung Galaxy S feature helps capture brilliant images and videos even in challenging light conditions.
And after the fact Photo Assist allows users to improve their images by adding new elements and removing distractions.
Gemini Omni allows users to take the video clips and photos from their gallery and turn them into ready-to-share videos.
The Samsung Galaxy S26 FE will include seven generations of OS upgrades and seven years of security updates so you can confidently use the device for years.
The Samsung Galaxy S26 FE will be available in Australia on September 4 and comes in three colours: Blueberry, Graphite and Pistachio.
