Extra storage is always something we need for our smartphones and TeamGroup has come up with a solution – a MagSafe compatible portable SSD.
The PD20M Mag portable SSD drive has a rounded design and is just 8.2mm thick and weighs only 40g. It is available in 1TB and 2TB capacities.
It attaches securely to the back of an iPhone, the latest Pixel smartphones and other Android devices with a magnetic case.
The included short USB-C to USB-C cable connects the PD20M to your phone but it still offers very little interference with using your phone and camera.
That connection offers up to 10Gbps transmission speeds which introduced with the iPhone 15 and can be used to expand the storage capacity.
The PD20M meets the USB 3.2 Gen 2 x1 specifications.
iPhone 17 Pro users will particularly like the PD20M because it offers a way for them to shoot ProRes RAW video directly to the drive.
Because shooting in ProRes RAW creates such large files, Apple only made this feature available if you can shoot and store the footage directly on external storage.
The iPhone 17 can handle read and write speeds of up to 1000MB/s.

Of course the drive can also be used like a regular SSD drive with a computer and tablet.
