Tech Guide took a tour of the Hisense booth at the 2024 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas and the first thing we saw was the new UXAU 110-inch Mini-LED X – one of the largest TVs at the show.
This showstopper TV has 40,000 mini-LED backlights and therefore 40,000 dimming zones for improved contrast, clarity and brightness.
There will be two 100-inch TVs in the Hisense TVs in the line-up – one with a Mini-LED backlight and another ULED quantum dot model which will be aggressively priced.
Also on the stand is the impressive Hisense Laser range including the new C1 long throw projector which can be used anywhere in the home and even off to the side of the room while still autofocussing and squaring up the image.
The Laser TV short throw projector category is one of Hisense’s strongest portfolios and they also have some upcoming technology to showcase.
The first was Light Steering – this is the ability for the Laser TV to direct light to certain parts of the screen to improve black levels and brightness like dimming zones on a regular TV.
This results in 50 per cent deeper blacks and 500 per cent more brightness.
Also on the Hisense stand was the new Ultra Black screen which is made of micro-nano anti-glare film technology which can boost brightness by up to 50 per cent.
There was a new mini Laser TV which was 70 per cent smaller than the regular Hisense Laser TV but it could still create up to an 88-inch image.
We also saw a rollable ambient light rejection screen designed to be used with the Laser TV that can retract when not in use to open up a view for a window or be deployed at night in front of a regular TV for movie night.
