A new device called Syre, which can transform the iPod Nano into a Bluetooth-enabled smart watch, is now in development.
Syre is moulded from a high quality yet flexible silicone polymer to provide a comfortable, unobtrusive fit and a stylish look.
The Bluetooth module is integrated into the Syre band and connects to the iPod Nano through the device’s dock connector.
The addition of Bluetooth removes the need for wired headphones and earphones or a bulky Bluetooth adaptor.
Syre has been designed for active people who use their iPod Nano while they are exercising or enjoying any other outdoor activity.
The Syre band/adaptor is also fully sealed to protect the iPod Nano and prevent any moisture entering the device.
Syre has been listed on the Kickstarter website and allows potential customers to express their interest with pre-orders.
If enough pre-orders are received and the budget amount is reached, the Syre will go into production with delivery expected in November.
Syre will be avaiable in six colours which will chosen by vote from project backers.
You can find Syre on the Kickstarter site here.
