Go Places app takes 20 per cent off your restaurant bill
If you love dining out then your Optus smartphone can become your personal restaurant guide and get you 20 per cent off the bill at the same time.
Go Places is an Android, Nokia Symbian, BlackBerry and iPhone app for Optus customers to find participating restaurants near them offering discounts.
The discounts are redeemed using the app’s corresponding voucher for that particular restaurant.
Once a restaurant is found using the Go Places app, diners can check ratings and reviews before deciding go ahead and make a reservation.
Reservations can be made right there on the app or by dialling through and making the booking over the phone.
And if you need turn-by-turn directions to the restaurant the Go Places app can also help with that as well.
The app’s navigation feature includes spoken street names so you’ll know exactly where you’re going.
There are even traffic updates so you won’t be delayed making your way to the restaurant.
Go Places also makes it easy to share your restaurant’s location with your friends on Facebook and Twitter and also leave a rating for the experience.
And when you’ve finished your meal you’ll get up to 20 per cent off the bill (up to a maximum of $25 incl GST).
Now the Go Places app is free but it costs $39.99 annually to have access to all the discount vouchers.
Customers can also buy casual use vouchers for $2.99 each which can be used within 24 hours of purchase.
The Premium Traffic information within the app is priced at $19.99 annually.
That would only take two meals and you’ve already made your money back/
And the beauty of the vouchers is they can be used over and over again at the same restaurants if you discover a place that turns into a favourite.
If you’re looking for that next hip restaurant to try, the answer could be right there in your Optus smartphone with the Go Places app.
