There’s an arm’s race going on in the world of robot vacuums – extendable arms. Dreame has released a new robot vacuum with a mop arm that can extend up to 18cms out from the unit to reach the nooks, crannies and spaces where other robots can’t.
Tech Guide checked out the Dreame stand at IFA in Berlin and saw the X60 Ultra Extreme which has not one but two extendable arms – a brush arm that can extend 12cm and a mop that reaches 18cm.
This means you don’t have to move chairs and other furniture for the robot to provide an impressive clean.
The X60 Ultra Extreme also has a second brush that can run along and clean your skirting boards.
And if Dreame is not improving the clean with its robot vacuum with extendable arms it is turning to steam.
The Dreame Aqua20 Ultra Roller can apply steam to the clean to shift stubborn baked on stains which would usually require a manual clean afterwards with a wet cloth and your fingernails.
The unit has a larger water tank in the charging station so it can add water to the robot which can them produce 180-degree Celsius steam on the move around your home.
Speaking of steam – there is plenty to offer with the Dreame T16 TriForce which brings the heat together strong suction and intelligent surface recognition.
To demonstrate the power of the steam the Dreame staff ran the unit over a thermal pad with the heat creating distinct red lines showing just how much ground it can cover.
Also onboard is anti-tangle technology which makes everyday maintenance a breeze.
To demonstrate just how easily it could clean they dropped soft drink, and hair on the ground.
After a couple of sweeps the floor was spotless – and dry.
