WD launches My Passport SSD – its fastest portable drive ever

Western Digital has launched its fastest portable drive ever –  the My Passport SSD –  a palm-sized storage device that offers incredible speeds and the ability to carry massive files anywhere.

The portable drive houses an SSD (solid state drive) which is capable of read/write speeds of up to 515Mbps, making it WD’s fastest My Passport device.

It is designed for content creators, photographers and video editors along with anyone else who needs to carry large files with them.

Users can rapidly manage large photo and video files, back-up files fast and store important documents.

And it won’t take up much room –  it’s smaller than a deck of cards.

The My Passport SSD will work with the latest smartphones and computers with the USB-C port.

WD’s My Passport SSD can also handle day-to-day wear and tear and keep your data safe thanks to its shock resistance which can withstand 1500G of force and handle a drop from 2.5m.
